About us
ScienceInform was founded by Dr. Ed Zanders, a
biomedical research scientist with many years' experience both in
academia and in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
His experiences of training for other companies convinced him that
it is possible to convey technical information to clients with no
prior scientific knowledge, provided the courses are designed and
delivered with rigorous attention to detail. Unlike many other companies,
who use a team of consultants employed on an ad hoc basis, we use
one (or at most two) trainers to deliver fully integrated courses.
ScienceInform provides customised training for a range of delegates,
from those with no technical background, to those with science PhDs.
Based in Cambridge England, ScienceInform is at the centre of the
United Kingdom's biotechnology hub and is up-to-date with the latest
science and business information.
Biographies of our trainers
Edward Zanders
Ed has over twenty-five years' experience in research
in biochemistry and related sciences, both within academia and as
a Senior Research Manager at Glaxo in the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
He held senior management positions within several Cambridge biotechnology
companies prior to establishing ScienceInform and is also a director
of the biotechnology company BioVillage Ltd. He is the author
of many scientific publications and has presented extensively at
academic and drug discovery meetings and seminars.
In addition to communication of original scientific data to fellow
specialists, Ed has considerable experience in training both students
and non-scientists, and has consulted for other training companies
on a freelance basis.

over thirty years' experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Following graduation he worked as a Drug Metabolism Scientist

creating effective partnerships overseas across a variety
of cultural backgrounds.
Lindsay MacLeod
Lindsay MacLeod is a trainer for the practical
session of our Presentation Skills for Scientists course. She is
an experienced London Blue Badge guide, being an official guide
at The British Museum, The Houses of Parliament and Spencer House
as well as on individually tailored tours. She is Chair of the Qualifications
Board of the Institute of Tourist Guiding and has taught presentation
skills to Blue Badge guides since 1991; she is therefore well qualified
